Alpha Lambda Zeta Fraternity, Inc. is an organization that seeks to create positive change within our community. We offer members the opportunity to better themselves and the community by leading a regal life guided by our five principles: Fraternal Sisterhood, Political Outreach, Community Activism, Erudition and Professionalism.

Alpha Lambda Zeta Fraternity, Inc. is a unique organization of unique womyn who have a unique connection. Our frats create bonds that last a lifetime and support each other in various areas of life such as personal, professional, and spiritual endeavors. Members have the opportunity to network and create bonds with frats in various locations throughout the US through various national events and meetings such as Biennial National Conclave, and thus, create bonds with frats within and outside of the local areas. We proudly boast the diversity within our membership and encourage womyn from various ages, locations, and race categories to learn more about who we are and what we do.
service to others
Service is the cornerstone of what we do and the foundation of who we are as an organization. Fraternity members are expected to participate, support, and create service opportunities in their communities and participate in political activism through our Lambda Action Network and VOICE Programs. Members are given the opportunity to serve in causes close to their hearts within a premiere organization that supports, encourages and rewards their efforts.
growth and leadership skills
In Alpha Lambda Zeta Fraternity, Inc. members undergo training and are afforded the opportunity to develop key leadership skills that are valuable inside and outside of the fraternity. Members are expected to work toward the common goals of the fraternity and are given the tools to do so. Members understand that hard work is a requirement for membership. Interests may be offered an invitation for membership only upon successful completion of our Leadership Training Academy. Our Training Programs
Support
We recognize that being a masculine-identified lesbian womyn is a unique identity that comes with many challenges and opportunities. Alpha Lambda Zeta Fraternity, Inc. provides support to our members and to the LGBT-focused organizations in our community to promote equality, awareness, and understanding of these challenges and opportunities.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
1. 8 hours of community volunteerism and political activism is REQUIRED.
2. At least 21 years of age and mentally mature enough to handle responsibilities beyond normal life.
3. Identify as a masculine-identified lesbian female (i.e. stud, butch, tomboi, etc.)
4. Have a high school diploma, with drive and ambition to go further.
5. Registered and active voter.
6. Proof of Financial Responsibility.
7. Letter of Interest – specific questions will be addressed, be prepared.
8. Successful interview.
9. Prepared to travel for parts of the training process.
10. Possess or contain the ambition to possess leadership, service, determination, and responsibility.
11. Every potential member of Alpha Lambda Zeta Fraternity, Inc. must be willing to submit to a background check. We realize everyone has a past, we learn, and grow, but honesty is imperative. A prior record does not exclude one from membership into this fraternity, if disclosed.
LEADERSHIP TRAINING ACADEMY
Membership is by invite only. Interests may be offered an invitation for membership only upon successful completion of the initial requirements and the A.L.P.H.A Leadership Training Academy ©, a six to eight week training program encompassing service, political activism, fund raising, and leadership training that is all mentor led to ensure success.
Make sure you are prepared in advanced and ensure your schedule can allow such a program before you apply.

Webster’s dictionary defines “hazing” as:
To persecute or harass with meaningless, difficult, or humiliating tasks.

Alpha Lambda Zeta Fraternity, Inc. doesn’t advocate, promote, or acknowledge hazing as acceptable precursor or post initiation activity for perspective or existing members on any level.

Hazing is unlawful, demeaning, unproductive, and does not show honor from existing members and does not gain respect from perspective members. Alpha Lambda Zeta Fraternity, Inc. respects hard work, knowledge, and prominence within its membership; we seek womyn willing to work for our organization to uplift not to demean its purposes and principles.

Any person(s) caught enacting or accepting such acts will be immediately suspended or barred from membership in Alpha Lambda Zeta Fraternity, Inc. If you feel you have witnessed, been victim to, or been pressured to keep silent about witnessed hazing please email stophazing@alphalambdazeta.com
