Fraternity History

Alpha Lambda Zeta Fraternity, Inc. was founded on Janurary 9, 2006 in Houston, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia. Since this time, our founders and dedicated members have developed the vision of a fraternal sisterhood that is bonded and grounded in service to the community and each other. Through our mission and the dedication we have to each other, we positively impact our community while maintaining a fraternal bond that is fostered by understanding, acceptance and support. We encourage any aggressive womyn seeking membership into a fraternity with standards, goals, professionalism, and activism to explore further into the Regal World of Alpha Life. Alpha Lambda Zeta Fraternity, Inc. has worked along side D9 and Panhellenic Greeks to register people to vote, deliver goods to the homeless, deliver toys to youth, march for our rights, and help our troops survive in Iraq. We have also served as an active voice in the LGBT community.

We impact our community in positive, productive, and powerful ways through our principles of:

Fraternal Sisterhood - Nothing matches the bond and respect we have for one another. It is the reason we continue to do what we do in the face of adversity.

Community Volunteerism - We are our community, and we recognize the communities in which we live need to understand the positive impact we can have.

Political Activism - Change is good and instituting change is fulfillment. We will never tire of fighting for the CIVIL & EQUAL Rights deservant of any HUMAN BEING living in the United States of America.

Erudition - Members of this Regal Order of Womyn seek to be knowledgable about the local, regional, national, and international world around us. We always want to engage the entire community to action.

Professionalism - People may never understand the need for aggressive, dominant, butch, stud, and tomboi womyn to come to together for a positive cause, but they will definitely see the effect through the perception altering work that we do.
