2025 Cornerstone Scholarship Winner Announced

Alpha Lambda Zeta Fraternity, Inc. is proud to announce the awarding of our inaugural Cornerstone Scholarship—a recognition designed to honor exceptional high school seniors who have demonstrated a consistent commitment to community service and plan to pursue a career in public service.

This year’s recipient, Andrea Clark, exemplifies the very spirit of the scholarship. Andrea has devoted over 800 volunteer hours to Crossroads Preschool Ministry, where she began as a teacher’s assistant in 2021 and rose to the role of head teacher for her own preschool class. Her dedication to creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment has touched the lives of countless children and their families.

Andrea’s commitment to service extends beyond the classroom. Her work with children has shaped her vision for the future—she plans to pursue a career in pediatric and family medicine, serving underserved communities with compassion and excellence. Andrea will begin her Biology studies at The University of Texas at Tyler in August 2025, taking the next steps toward making that dream a reality.

The $250 Cornerstone Scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving high school senior who has demonstrated a strong record of community service—at least 50 hours—and is pursuing a career in public service. Andrea’s extraordinary volunteer record, leadership, and dedication to helping others made her the perfect choice for this first-ever award.
